A+ for Baby
Last week, we went in for a Level II Ultrasound. It's like an in-depth check up for the baby. Need I say I was also in search of a great profile pic, but that's a whole other post. (sigh)
This look-see is usually when moms and dads find out the gender of their baby, but as y'all know we're on Team Green and waiting until Delivery Day to learn boy or girl. So, for us, the excitement was all about finding out how well our baby was coming along.
From top to bottom, the doc checked every thing. I joked the baby has my generously proportioned head and daddy's strong, runner's legs. The bottom line is the baby's brain, heart, lungs, and other vital parts are all good. Our little one weighs 11 ounces. Seems like so little considering there's only a few more months to gain at least five pound.
In the end, the doctor gave Baby S an A+ all around and said, "You're doing a good job cooking this baby." Praise the Lord for a healthy child. We left with a 23-minute video. It's pretty awesome to watch the baby moving around, which he/she did a lot during the exam.

Wow! You have a lot of will power to stick to your guns and not know the sex! That would KILL me :) Great news he/she is healthy! Good job chef!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard, girl. Anthony really wants to be surprised, so I'm holding out. LOL
ReplyDeleteOMG! You've got a baby belly. That is too cute. I don't know how you're sticking to not knowing the sex. That was the first thing I wanted to know. lol.
ReplyDeletePraise the LORD!!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it never occurred to me that we wouldn't find out. So, when Anthony told me he'd prefer to surprised, I was like hmmm, okay. We are SO excited for that day to see the baby and hear "it's a ...."
ReplyDeleteWe are on the downhill slide now- well technically I still have just under 21 weeks. Glad your scan was all good, we couldnt see the sex of our little munchkin, but its very active and all is good.
ReplyDeleteI cant believe how quickly this is going- my last pregnancies just seemed to take forever! This one I am sooooo not organised, but we did decide on a pram and car seat- I guess thats a start!
