Whew! Time flies.

It has been a while since our last post. The three of us traveled to The Carolinas to celebrate Mr. & Mrs. S's 7th wedding anniversary. We had a great time, tho momma came home with the flu. Evidently someone down there passed on icky-ness to me and these past several days have been extremely challenging.

Taking every precaution, Dr. R. prescribed meds and recommended lots of liquids (water and white grape juice) to avoid dehydration. Plus, the nurse gave me carte blanch to eat whatever I wanted. Better to eat anything I've got a taste for than to eat nothing all, she said. Mr. S has done an awesome job taking care of us, preparing meals, administering medicine, forcing us into the shower... Yeah. It's hard to get motivated even to bathe when you feel you've been done in by an 18-wheeler.

On the (much) brighter side, here are a few pics pre-yucky stage!

The baby has been kicking up a storm! Yay! Saturday he will be 24 weeks in utero and that means we've got only 16 weeks to go. That number made my heart skip a beat. Can you imagine? If the Lord wills, in four short months we'll be bringing home baby! It makes me tender-hearted and teary-eyed to imagine we'll be touching, holding, and caring for our little miracle.

Until then, I'm enjoying every minute of the R&R, tho some days I feel positively lazy. LOL I know my day is coming, so I'm basking in this flu-forced bed rest and the next few weeks of nesting. There are a few little projects I'd like to tackle, e.g. hanging some pictures that have been sitting in a corner since we moved in a few months ago, wiping down baseboards, organizing and getting rid of stuff we clearly don't need/use.
